Position: Interior Designer (Full-Time)
Offered wage: $61,152/year
Work Location: 665 Broadway, Suite 705, New York, NY 10012
Responsibilities:
• Conduct programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of
furnishings and equipment, lighting and furniture coordination and select furniture,
lighting, flooring, wall covering and artwork;
• Develop innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, creative and
conducive to intended purposes and function which is reflective of client goals and
within project budget;
• Implement all phases of a design project which includes contracts, budgeting,
scheduling, planning, design, documentation, specifications and construction;
• Estimate material requirements and costs. Responsible for keeping the project, or a
phase of a project, on schedule. Responsible for communication, collaboration and
coordination with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation
of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary;
• Lead the Construction Administration phase responding to RFI’s, CO’s, reviewing
shop drawings and involved in the field site reviews;
• Prepare presentation, design drawings, 3D models and renderings. Prepare and update
documents during schematic design, design development and construction
administration phases. Develop and coordinate color and material palettes. Review
documents for adherence to building and ADA codes;
• Assist senior designers and Principals in preparing design presentations and keeping
the projects on schedule. Support team members for specific field, style, or phase of
interior design expertise; and
• Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with consultants, contractors and
clients throughout project. Keeps client apprised of project progress on regular basis.
Requirements:
At least a master’s degree in interior design, interior architecture, architecture design, or
any equivalent design field plus at least 6 months of work experience in the same
position or similar occupation at an interior design or architecture design firm. Please send
